Philanthropic David Kessler

The Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies shows David Kessler on their "Dean's List" of contributors to their organization. They like David Kessler so much that they have named an annual conference after him. At the conference people deliver symposia and lectures on gender and sexual orientation issues and there has been such a reception that there is even a book published entitled Queer Ideas: The Kessler Lectures in Lesbian and Gay Studies. The book is edited by Alisa Solomon and Martin Duberman, and is available for purchase at the Feminist Press.

Graduate of Sarah Lawrence College

David Kessler graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 1975. This is a picture of him at a reunion in 2005. Believe it or not, that's all I know.

Update 10/16/2006 - I found an interview with David Kessler who is a biologist specializing in small mammals at The Smithsonian National Zoological Park. He says he's a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College. I'm thinking this picture goes with that interviewee. If so, David Kessler went to the University of Maryland for graduate school and then did research at the National Zoo. Now he takes care of the cute and cudlies.

This may be the first David Kessler one can go to a zoo to see.

Cardiovascular David Kessler

Do you suffer from arrythmia? Has your dance instructor say he can't do anything about it? Don't have a heart attack without first calling David Kessler, MD. He'll hook you up with a cardiac pacemaker. He's a cardiologist who specializes in electrophysiology and cardiac pacing.

If you think a pacemaker is merely OK, but you'd like something with a little more kick, maybe David Kessler can interest you in something more like an implantable cardioverter defibrillator. I bet if he likes you he'll even throw in a stent and give you a nice discount on the package too. So, run, don't walk, well, OK walk to Austin, Texas and ask for David Kessler. Tell him David Kessler sent you.

Certified Public David Kessler

Do you owe back taxes? Is the IRS garnishing your wages? Do you owe more than your car is worth? The government has CPAs working hard on their side and so should you. Call CPA David Kessler. He's a partner at the aptly named firm Kessler & Company, Certified Public Accountants.

David Kessler specializes in international and domestic taxation and has served on the International Taxation Committee of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. That shouldn't be confused with the International Society for the Advancement of David Kessler, though the two organizations can easily be confused.

I am sure that if the International Society for the Advancement of David Kessler needs any accounting work (like when membership fees start rolling in), David Kessler is the man for the job.

Fairfield High Strong Safety

What football team would be complete without David Kessler playing the strong saftey position? Fairfield High School knew they needed a strong safety and David Kessler was just the guy for the job. The local paper, The Fairfield Echo, called David Kessler the Athlete of the Week in November of 2005.

I don't know if he is still in high school. The article was published about a year ago. He said in his interview with the newspaper, though, that he aspired to studying physical therapy in college.

He's not all football and physical therapy, though. He also likes model rockets (like the other David Kessler we know), paintball, hip hop, and watching Sports Center every day.

David Kessler, Couch Surfer

Party at David Kessler's house! And, yes, it is totally cool to crash there if you want to, dude. David Kessler is a member at CouchSurfing.com. That's an online/offline community of people who offer their couch as a place to stay for other members of couchsurfing.com. Members who are travelling can contact other members that live where they are visiting and request a night or more's stay on their couch. It looks like a great way to meet people and and experience a town at the grassroots level.

Several people have remarked on David Kessler's Couch Surfing page that he is an excellent host. Lasting friendships have formed over this couch surfing.

If you want to surf David Kessler's couch and you have plans to be in the Philadelphia area where he lives, join the website and ask him. I'm sure he'll give you an extra pillow if you too are David Kessler.

David Kessler, Attorney at Law

David Kessler is a partner in the illustrious law firm, Schiffrin & Barroway, LLP. His bio on their website says that he graduated with honors from the Emory School of Law. He's also a Certified Public Accountant. We wouldn't expect any less, would we?

David Kessler specializes in securities litigation and generally suing the pants off of corporations. Way to stick it to the man, Dave!

I'm sure it is just a matter of time before he's working at Schiffrin, Barroway & Kessler, LLP; or, would that be Kessler, Schiffrin & Barroway?

David Kessler Stays Fit

Who can deny the importance of staying fit? Here's a photo of David Kessler stretching at 6:30am in Central Park following his morning run.

David is an editor in the educational publishing industry, according to Emily Wilson who took this picture and posted it on the Web.

This photo reminds me of those motion-triggered cameras that researchers put in forests to capture pictures of rare wildlife. Here we see the elusive David Kessler being photographed in his natural habitat. Beautiful plumage!

Fraternity Brother David Kessler

Spring of 2005 saw David Kessler, a Sigma Zeta man and member of the swim team, graduate from Wilmington College. Here's a picture of David Kessler working with children while participating in the Ohio Athletic Conference's Operation Good Sport.
Way to give back to the community, David Kessler. Way to represent.

Another Fictitious David Kessler

Did you know David Kessler was in the 1984 movie, Irreconcilable Differences? Remember that movie with Ryan O'Neal, Shelly Long, and a cute, little Drew Barrymore? Maybe you rented it on VHS or Beta when you got your exciting new Video Cassette Recorder in 1986. Or maybe you taped it from HBO when you got your exciting new Video Cassette Recorder in 1986. Either way, it may have been a while since you last saw the movie.

The only thing I can think of that is interesting about the movie is that David Kessler is one of the characters. I can only assume that since I can't remember anything about the movie, I must not have seen it. After all, how could I forget a movie that David Kessler was in?

Judging by the reviews I have seen online, the prominence of David Kessler in this movie pales in comparison to the lead role David Kessler enjoyed in An American Werewolf in London. Now that was a role for David Kessler! This time around David Kessler is played by Sam Wanamaker, pictured here from the film Superman IV (I couldn't find a picture of Sam in Irreconcilable Differences).

Though Sam is now dead, he will be considered for posthumous induction into adjunct membership of The International Society for the Advancement of David Kessler. Well played, Sam. Well played.

Psychology Advisor

The University of Texas at San Antonio was wise enough to hire David Kessler to be a student advisor. In particular, David Kessler advises students with last names starting with the letters A through L; and even more specifically, he advises those students in the subject area of psychology. Talk about specialization.

One word of caution, though, about this David Kessler; he is listed with the Texas Academic Advising Network as "Michael 'David' Kessler". Yes, it looks like his first name is really Michael. However, his middle name is David and he appears to prefer to be called David Kessler. Smart move. I don't think he calls himself David Kessler just to be a member of The International Society for the Advancement of David Kessler or to get out of paying the $1,000,000 membership fee. If so, the ruse would have been quite elaborate as he is referred to as David Kessler in a number of places on the UTSA website dating back at least a couple of years and his email address is David.Kessler at UTSA.edu. So, I am comfortable that the transformation from the less-desireable Michael Kessler to the far superior David Kessler is complete. Welcome aboard, David Kessler!
